Second Chance

Making an adoption plan provides a second chance for birth parents. Adoption is not an easy plan for a birth parent to follow but in the long run it provides a loving 2 parent home for a child that may otherwise grow up fatherless and it allows the birth mother to continue school, start a career, get her feet under herself, get into a committed relationship, get married, have stability before she starts a family, and many more opportunities.

Many single pregnant lady's feel initially that they could not place their baby for adoption, but they have not yet considered the responsibility of choosing single motherhood. My husband and I have 2 children and it is difficult for us together to successfully raise our children. If I were a single mother I know it would be much more difficult for me to be a successful parent.

Being a parent requires a lot of time, self-sacrifice, and money. The birthmothers that I have worked with that have made an adoption plan and chose an adopted family for their baby say it was the right decision for them and the baby.

Grief after placing the child into an adoptive family will occur, it is a very difficult decision! But we are here to support birth parents throughout the whole adoption process and beyond.
