Single Parent and Child Situation

Over 1.5 million children are born to single mothers each year. Children of single parents, especially single teen parents, are at a higher risk to experience physical, social, and financial problems. Over half of births to women in their early twenties and nearly 30 percent of births to women ages 25-29 are to unmarried women.

In Single Parent Homes:
Children may experience substantiated child abuse and neglect

Children may experience maltreatment

Children may be abandoned in hospitals

Children may end up in foster care

As a single pregnant person you can be proactive and investigate what the options are for you and your unborn child. Don't let your child become one of the facts listed above! Take a step and call for more information about ALL of your options with your pregnancy. Being able to make a fully informed decision for your baby and for yourself is extremely important.
